Otterbox Launches Cases For 5800 XpressMusic And E72
Otterbox is well known for the cases that they produce for any variety of different eletronics, including your favorite Symbian-powered smartphones. They’re pricey, but they do an awesome job of protecting your phone from….well…pretty much anything. Otterbox has 3 different types of cases – the Commuter series, the Impact series, and the Defender series.
The Commuter series is somewhat of a cross between their Impact series and the Defender series. You get a more slender case that doesn’t add nearly as much bulk to your phone, though there’s still plenty of protection. All of the phone’s necessary ports are covered by protective panels and sealed to keep dust out, and there is an integrated screen protector, as well.
The Impact series is designed to protect against shock, including drops and the like. If you’re on-the-go alot, you may want to consider this case for a more solid protection than the Commuter offers.
The Defender series is a more complete protection, with three layers of coverings and a built-in ratcheting belt clip. This is the supreme in making sure if you drop your smartphone, it doesn’t drop you.
None of these are waterproof, just so you know, but they offer great protection for keeping your baby less scratched up. We’ve also confirmed that Otterbox is currently working on cases designed specifically for the Nokia N97 and N97 Mini, which is very cool. We’ll keep you posted as to when those come available.
Have you ever used an Otterbox case on your phone? Did it work well?
